This article examines alternative liability – the institution of tort law in the United States. Particular attention is paid to approaches to explaining the right-wing nature of alternative liability, including the Risk-Based interpretation, the Relaxing interpretation and the Evidential grouping. Conclusions were reached on the optimal concept as well as on the prospects for further development of the concept under analysis.
